Amitabha Stupa & Meditation Journey
Your Aumbase guide will lead you in meditation at the beautiful Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park. Journey within and cultivate deeper self-awareness. Meditation offers many proven benefits for mental and physical health. General meditation and mindfulness research shows meditation can change the actual structure of the brain. People who have a practice of meditation also report lower levels of stress, anxiety, depression and chronic pain.
The Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park is an outdoor venue for prayer, meditation, and quiet contemplation. In this sacred place, you will find 2 Buddhist stupas, a Native American medicine wheel and walking trails and numerous quiet spots for meditation. Stupas are an ancient form of sacred architecture that represent the heart of enlightenment as a radiating presence that transmits blessings to all those who come into contact with them. A stupa is like a spiritual generator that brings peace and harmony to all beings while harmonizing nature.
Wear good walking shoes and carry water. Please carry out everything you carry in – practice the principles of Leave No Trace – and respect the quiet for those who are meditating.

Land Guide and Yoga Instructor
Alissa believes teaching Yoga is a sacred honor. As a former automotive journalist, producer and television host of Cars From A Woman’s Perspective, Alissa found yoga after moving to Sedona in 2016. It was the day after returning from a weekend stunt driving workshop, that she made the big move from Denver to Sedona. After a few years of culture shock, Alissa learned the power in finding personal peace versus chasing every, fun, squirrel. Her classes combine her outgoing personality with an innate, quiet, inner truth. Teaching traditional yoga poses, she specializes in focusing on improving your life, by using your body to drive in manual mode, like a vehicle! She acknowledges both our material and ethereal sides for bringing balance that feels fun and legit. Expect a few automotive-related metaphors and a down-to-earth approach outside on the vortex.

Visiting from Montana and did the Vortex yoga event. Yolanda did a great job of navigating a busy yrailhead. She found the perfect spot for us and allowed plenty of time at the end to take pictures.
This was a wonderful way to start a Sunday: yoga on a mountain with an amazing view. I am so glad I did this with my daughter. Well worth it!
This was my first time doing yoga and I LOVED it! The rise and shine yoga class at the airport vortex is a must. Absolutely breath taking and grounding experience

I have been coming to Sedona for years and have always wanted to do yoga on a mountain. Am so glad I finally made it happen, it was everything I had hoped for and more! Beautiful peaceful scenery and our instructor, Chuck was a calming and wonderful teacher. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Sedona, a MUST DO!!!
We attended the sunrise yoga with Chuck. This is an amazing once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the mindfulness of yoga with the vortex energy from Sedona. Excellent class and experience.
My bonus mom and I enjoyed a Rise and Shine Yoga session with Yolanda. It was AMAZING! Yolanda was the best. There aren’t words to describe the experience we shared.
I booked a vortex yoga with Chuck. It was my birthday day that day. No one else had booked a session so it worked out perfectly. I had such a great session. Chuck is amazing at what he does. It truly was a treat. He is very knowledgeable and nice. I couldn’t have asked for a better yoga session. If you ever book a session ask for Chucks schedule. You won’t be disappointed. And that view was breathtaking. #Namaste.
We absolutely enjoyed our experience at Aumbase and will most certainly visit again next time we’re in Sedona
